Hurst
Hurst is a city, between Dallas and Fort Worth, in the northeast area of Tarrant County. It is about 25 miles from Dallas.s downtown area, and ten miles from Fort Worth.s. It is part of the HEB area, which includes Hurst, Euless and Bedford. A little fewer than 40,000 residents currently live in the 9.9 square miles making up the area, but the city committed to a revitalization plan in 1999, so it is likely the area will continue to grow. Part of the plan included the renovation and expansion of the Hurst Recreation Center in 2001. The Center offers classes, fitness opportunities, and meeting rooms for residents at a low price. There are also 17 parks, two Aquatics Centers and a Tennis Center in the city.
